The short version
We're ScrapMyCar — a startup that's changing how India thinks about end-of-life vehicles. No dusty office, no corporate maze. Just a small, hungry team building something real from the ground up.
We need someone who can pick up the phone, earn a stranger's trust in 90 seconds, and turn that into a deal. If you've ever talked your way into (or out of) anything — keep reading.
What's it actually like here?
We're a startup. That means the person sitting next to you today might be running a department next year — and that person could be you. Our team is young, fast-moving, and nobody's here to clock in and clock out. Everyone's building something, and the people who grow with us now will be the ones leading when we scale.
There's no "that's not my job" energy here. There's "let me figure it out" energy.
Your day-to-day
You'll work inbound and outbound calls — fielding customer questions, chasing warm leads, closing deals. You keep your records clean, stay on top of policy updates and company news, and when a customer has a problem you can't solve alone, you pull in the right people fast.
What makes someone great at this
You're persuasive without being pushy. You stay cool when the phones don't stop. You know when to follow the script and when to just be human. You actually care whether the customer's problem gets solved — not just whether the call ends.
You'll need
• High school diploma (a degree in marketing, business, or similar is a plus — not a dealbreaker)
• Comfort with MS Office
• Strong negotiation instincts and a genuine feel for closing
• Solid communication and problem-solving skills
• The kind of mindset that thrives in "we're figuring this out together" environments
One more thing — if you speak any language beyond English and Hindi, make sure to mention it in your application. As we expand across India, every additional language on the team is a real advantage.
Ready? Send us your application and show us why you'd be a good fit. We don't need a perfect CV — we need the right person.
